Hello Peeps!!! Yet again I am sorry for the lack of communication but you see……. Tom and I have moved house!!!! We looked at a few places in town, one was really nice, we accepted, we signed and a week a go we moved in!

We are still living out of boxes and sleeping on a camp bed until we can afford a bed but we’re happy. It takes me 30 minutes to get to work rather than 2 hours, which means I have more time to sleep.

Tom is looking for a job but that’s it…… he’s looked.

Today is my Birthday and I am 36. Just feels like another day really as we have nothing planned. It is hard to have a birthday so near to Christmas as everyone is either too busy or too skint to do anything. Think we’re going to have a nice meal and watch movies……. exciting eh?

So I haven’t been around very much and I am soooo sorry for that. I had major plans for updating my blog and all the UC/Pouchie pages but I have been too busy to think at the moment.

Having problems with Student Loans, trying to look for accommodation in town, working all the bloody time. So I am going to try and make an effort to keep this thing up to date and I am also learning how to knit and crochet. Man I do like to push myself!!

The Curse

01Aug09

In 2004, while we were at Napier University we made a Zombie movie called The Curse. It was fun to make so please have a laugh with us as it’s just a typical student zombie movie.I also noticed when I saw this again I am wearing the same clothes as Zoey from L4D…. spooky!!!Catch the end too, there’s the outtakes and bloopers!!!

more about "The Curse", posted with vodpod

Ello Duckie

Say hello to the new arrivals. We had 13 but a few sadly died so we’re down to 11. Thought I would give you all a “Awwww” moment.

After a few games of TF2 and L4D, I decided to go out and enjoy the hot sunshine. The first thing I did was to air the tent as it will be leaving the comfort of the shed and will be used at Belladrum this year!!!

Yes, we have decided to go back to the Tartan Heart after a break last year. One Adam is playing both nights so we want to go and support him. Two, it’s Tom’s birthday so we’re going as a celebration. Finally, the bands are not that crap this year, unlike last year Bam groups that were on.

So hope to update you all later on our plans, but for sure, we going to Bella!!!!

Alison, Helen and Me

Alison, Helen and Me

Last week Tom, Poppy and I came back from a two week holiday to Walney. Apart from trying to catch up with my family, we attended the wedding of Helen and Morgan. Helen is my cousin and I haven’t seen her for 6 years, before my operation with Pouchie.

Thankfully the day was fine and sunny, the wedding was perfect! The church service was held at Rampside, near Roose and the ‘do’ was held at Merewood, near to Windermere.

Pouchie was fine, but had a bit of a moan towards the end of the night.

Poppy & Holly

Poppy got to catch up with Holly and was rather shocked to see the new haircut my brother gave her. Holly had a major short back and sides before we came down. We spent nearly everyday on the beach out side my Mum’s house, playing with the dogs. It was nice and sunny nearly ever day we were there.

We came home on the Saturday and I was soon back to work a few days later, back to the really world. I have become quite home sick the past week but it’s getting better. I guess I miss having my own space and being near to humans, rather than sheep we have surrounding us up here.

I’m hoping to pop back soon before the bad weather sets in.

My cousin Helen is getting married at Risedale Parish Church, on the 25th April. This will be the first time I will see her since my operation. She lives over on the Isle of Man, with her so to be husband Morgan.

The last time I saw her was in the summer before my operation. I was swollen and ill will UC but we still enjoyed a few days together. We went out and about in Edinburgh and completely understood when I felt tired.

This will be test for me when I go to her wedding. Apart from watching my cousin (who I grew up with most of my youth with) get married I will have to show Pouchie off to the rest of the family. I’m hoping he will be OK and don’t mind me having a few glassses of fizz to toast the happy couple. Also the food and dancing during the day.

Any way, I will let you know how it goes and what happened. xx

Down Shep!

27Mar09

This gives “One man and his dog” a run for their money!!!

After a few weeks of snow and ice, we’re finally begining to warm up and take off the winter clothing.  I have started knitting a stole for my cousins wedding, just hope it will be finished in time.

I’ve started working more hours at work now, up to 32 hours a week.  Considering the way people are loosing jobs at the moment, I’m thankful for the extra cash.  Not going to see much of it as I’m paying the debts off :(

Tom and I are hoping to get our own plce soon.  The 50 miles round trip 5 days a week is taking it’s toll and I need other humans in my life.  It’s getting rather stressful and Tom is unable to work here, we need to go.

So that’s it – nothing interesting happening but hopefully we’ll be busy!!

5 Feb 2009. Heavy snow across Scotland, but Poppy remains on patrol.
