Lights, Camera, Action!

I’ve been keeping this secret from everyone but here is an explanation to way I haven’t been around on the Internet for a while.

I’m starring in a short film documentary about my illness and how I live with Pouchie. The other aspect to the movie is my move from a busy city to the country.

Filming was nearly completed this weekend, so I’m back trying to catch up on stuff. I must admit I’m rather knackered but it was fun and I seem to be a local celebrity with the neighbours!!!

Happy Valentines Day!!!

To each and every one of you out there, Happy Valentines Day!!!!

If you never received anything, then don’t worry about it, nor did I and I have a boyfriend.

Instead, here are some interesting facts about Valentines Day:

  • Using the language of the law courts for the rituals of courtly love, a “High Court of Love” was established in Paris on Valentine’s Day in 1400. The court dealt with love contracts, betrayals, and violence against women. Judges were selected by women on the basis of a poetry reading
  • The day has come to be associated with a generic platonic greeting of “Happy Valentine’s Day.” As a joke, Valentine’s Day is also referred to as “Singles Awareness Day

So there you go. I’ll be stuffing my face with chocolate for the rest of the day, feeling sorry for myself.

Katzenjammer Rock!!!

Tom and I went to Eden Court last night to watch Katzenjammer. They are a two man, piano playing, comedy, song writing piece and were brilliant!

It was our Xmas present off Chris (Tom’s brother) and we had been looking forward to the night since the holidays.

Tom was full of cold and tried his best not to sneeze through out the whole performance. I was tired from working and was trying not to hurt too much from the seat.

Any way, if you get the chance see these guys as they are really good!!!!

Jeez it’s cold!!!

I was checking the weather forecast this morning. I knew it gets cold up here but I thought this was the extreme! -238c!!!!!

The past week it has rained ever single day It was so hard that the front of the hall was flooded and we had to use ramps to get in. Yesterday the weather got colder and instead of rain, we got snow.

This morning we had more snow so I took a walk up to the cross and took some pictures. I really wanted to go sledging but I don’t think there’s enough snow for a safe ride. There are too many mole hills that would be hit, especially by me!

I start my new job on Monday. So at least I’m getting out of the house and earning money again. No more wasting my days typing at the keyboard.
